Well, it's safe to say I've been through the gamut. And that most of them have let me down at some point or other. Yep even (ironic italics) Sandisk and Lexar, the two market leaders. I've tried a Kingston 4 Gigger 133x that worked perfectly (and still works), then decided to double my luck - bought an 8G version of the same card that is as slow as a queue in a Post Office on pension day. So, I had nothing to lose giving Transcend a whirl after seeing them on a website out of the Channel Islands. Duty free = worth a punt. Guess what? They have been ultra reliable.(I am touching my desk as I type one handed)  Have yet to put a pixel out of place*. The 8G card is 400x, the 4G 300x. Plenty speedy. 

So don't stick to one brand out of blind faith. Experiment!

*Disclaimer: The card hasn't been through the wash in my jeans, a sandstorm in the Sahara, gone over Niagra Falls or been run over by a tank. But there is still time.
